Company Profile

Huron Valley Electric, Inc. was founded in 1987 and formally incorporated in 1989. The initial focus of the business was to establish itself in the local community performing quality electrical installations in commercial facilities. Small service work jobs were the genesis of Huron Valley Electric. Projects varied significantly in nature including the legendary Ann Arbor Art Fair as one of the many diverse projects from the early years. Supplying power distribution for various vendors in the downtown Ann Arbor area transcended to performing electrical up-grades for adjoining stores. After just a few short years of quality work and development, our client base increased considerably. Our exemplary reputation contributed to our ever increasing business activity and the environment for a significant growth period was upon us by the early 90’s.

In 1990, Huron Valley Electric began to develop its primary business focus on the electrical needs of new and renovated public schools and University of Michigan projects. Additionally, a multiple array of technical installations were being expanded, establishing internal divisions within the company, which included; energy management controls, fiber optics, high voltage site utilities and new cell tower installations. These internal divisions all contributed significantly to diversifying the company within the local market.

In the late 1990’s to early 2000’s Huron Valley Electric began to specialize in the Health Care industry, performing significant new and renovated projects for the area hospitals and health care providers. In 2003 Huron Valley Electric became a subsidiary company of Motor City Electric Co., elevating the company into a major electrical contractor in the Ann Arbor and surrounding area market. The company currently offers a vast array of services with a commitment towards implementing our expertise and experience for every project.
